Branding

Georgia Tech contacted Inward to develop branding for a new annual hacking competition. The competition is a 12-hour-hacking marathon where Georgia Tech students were asked to hack computers that were thought to be secure. The ultimate goal of the competition is to aid in developing safer applications and also to expose GT students to local security companies. Georgia Tech provided the initial direction of basing the competition name on the game "Hungry, Hungry Hippos" and somehow combining the hippo icon with computer imagery.

Inward created a fun, high-energy logo showing the hippo eating a keyboard. We decided to use a yellow, green and black color scheme that was easily applied to t-shirts, stickers and banners while also hinting at old-school DOS colors.
